HOME MADE NUT / SEED BUTTER

Difficulty level: Easy
Time: 5 minutes

I tend to stick to making 1/2 cup at a time to ensure freshness.
As this product does not contain preservatives, it will go out of date much quicker than a store bought product.

Method

-
If you like a stronger nuttier flavour, then try roasting your nuts or seeds first.

-
Put the nuts / seeds of choice into a high speed food processor. Also add in any additions of your choice.

-
Blend on high speed until a paste forms.

-
You may have to scrape down sides of bowl a few times to make to mixture consistently smooth. I usually scrape down the sides of the bowl about 4-5 times before it is well blended.
-
Place into a sterilised glass jar and seal with a lid. Put in the fridge for later use.
-
The mixture usually lasts about 2 weeks in the fridge.
